Disaster & refugee relief
We stand with refugees and disaster survivors at home and abroad — after war, flood, earthquake and wildfire — and meet the needs they name.
OUR WORK
Our programmes — relief, training, reunification readiness, resettlement, networks and development
01
We stand with refugees and disaster survivors at home and abroad — after war, flood, earthquake and wildfire — and meet the needs they name.
02
Our IDRN disaster-response and CDP community-development courses certify and train field workers.
03
We prepare for rescue, relief, recovery and reconstruction in the event of reunification or a disaster in North Korea.
04
We help North Korean defectors settle securely, and build education and cultural programmes alongside them.
05
We build a network of partner agencies and international organisations at home and abroad.
06
We run development projects in Korea and overseas in service of our reunification-preparedness mission.
CDP training supports people living physically, emotionally and socially depleted lives in neglected and under-resourced areas, so that their community can recover fully and they can live well. Residents form their own committee, identify the work to be done, and develop it themselves — healing, economic development and physical health spreading outward through the community. We focus in particular on developing and applying eco-friendly farming methods, so that the degraded land of North Korea can be restored at reunification. (Held once a year.)
