Together International (an incorporated association, hereinafter “the Association”) establishes the following privacy policy in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, in order to protect users’ personal data and to deal promptly with any related concerns.
1. Personal data we collect
The Association collects the following through the application forms on this website.
- Newsletter subscription: email address
- Enquiries: name, email address, contact number, content of the enquiry
- Volunteer applications: name, email address, contact number, area of residence, areas of interest for volunteering
- Donation receipt requests: name, contact number, email address, address, resident registration number or business registration number
2. Purpose of use
Personal data collected is used only to send news, to answer enquiries, to provide guidance on volunteering, and to issue donation receipts and register them with the National Tax Service.
3. Retention and use period
Data is destroyed without delay once its purpose has been achieved. Where the relevant legislation requires retention, it is kept for the period concerned. Information relating to donation receipts is retained for five years in accordance with the Framework Act on National Taxes.
4. Handling of resident registration numbers
A resident registration number collected in order to issue a donation receipt and register it with the National Tax Service is stored encrypted and can be viewed only by the member of staff responsible. It is not shown in emails or on list screens.
5. External services
This website uses the external services below. When they are used, connection information such as the user’s IP address may be transmitted to the provider concerned.
- Google Maps — displaying the map on the directions page (Google LLC)
- Daum Postcode Service — postcode lookup when entering an address (Kakao Corp.)
- Mailgun — sending replies to enquiries and notification emails (Mailgun Technologies, Inc.)
- Amazon Web Services — storage of images and other attachments
These services exist to provide the functions of the website, and the Association does not separately transmit users’ personal data to them.
6. Provision to third parties
The Association does not provide personal data to third parties without the user’s consent. The exceptions are submission to the National Tax Service for the purpose of issuing a donation receipt, and requests made under the law.
7. Users’ rights
Users may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of the processing of their personal data. Requests made to the contact below are acted on without delay.
8. Security of personal data
To keep personal data safe, the Association limits access rights to the minimum necessary and stores unique identifying information in encrypted form.
