“A resolution to bring relief to the people of North Korea in their disaster”
From 27 to 30 August 2024, the International Disaster Response Leaders Forum hosted by IDRN Korea was held at Chunghyeon Church under the theme “Standing with the world in its disasters”, and closed in God’s grace.
One hundred and sixty international disaster response workers from fourteen countries — among them the Philippines, Japan, Canada and Norway — attended, sharing their experience and expertise in disaster response and strengthening the IDRN Global network.
Participants also visited the Demilitarized Zone, seeing the tunnels and the reality of a divided peninsula for themselves. Facing that reality, they resolved together to take part in bringing relief to the people of North Korea in their disaster.
