2019 International Disaster Response Network (IDRN) training plan

So that we can carry out practical rescue work on the ground and supply what people need when disaster strikes at home or abroad, or when North Korea opens, we will run International Disaster Response Network (IDRN) training as follows.

  • Dates: 25–26 March and 1–2 April 2019 (four days), 09:00–18:00
  • Places: 50–100, first come first served
  • Venue: Bonhyang Church, Gwangju, South Jeolla (062-959-0001)
  • Content: disaster survival, rescue and relief work, international humanitarian assistance, the situation in North Korea, practical exercises in rescue and relief, medical care, lectures and seminars from specialists on North Korea and Northeast Asia

Instructors: lead instructors specialising in disaster response training, with guest speakers including specialists originally from North Korea, a family medicine consultant, the local fire service, an emergency team from the Korea Safety Corporation, and regional strategy specialists.

On completion: IDRN graduate identification is issued — the credential used for access to disaster sites in North Korea and overseas.

Fee: ₩150,000. Registration: by 15 March (₩170,000 thereafter).
